Kahtoola means “directly” in Tibetan. Our products help get runners and hikers directly where they are going, and the Tibetan spirit guides the company’s philosophy. Kahtoola contributes 1 percent of our sales to help preserve indigenous mountain cultures worldwide.

The Tibetan Aid Foundation is dedicated to raising funds to establish sustainable health care clinics and to support educational programs in rural Tibetan communities in the PRC.

The Mountain Fund is a global coalition of grassroots non-profit and non-governmental organizations devoted to eliminating the causes and symptoms of poverty in developing mountain cultures around the world. Because of the unique conditions in diverse mountain communities, the issues The Mountain Fund addresses are determined locally.
