KAHTOOLA AND THE FRIENDS OF CAMP COLTON
Challenge YOU to go up the Mountain and redefine your winter!

Saturday, February 20, 2010 at 4:30 p.m. �" Arizona Snowbowl Agassiz Lodge

Dear Flagstaff Community Members,

Kahtoola and the Friends of Camp Colton challenge you to put together a team for the 3rd Annual Kahtoola Agassiz Uphill. For the first time ever we are inviting people compete as 2-4 person teams. Cost is $65 each team and five dollars of every entry will be donated to Camp Colton’s environmental education program for 6th grade children�"so enter one team or multiple teams and support a local treasure!  Also new to this race is that it will start at 4:30 p.m. to give participants a bit of sunset-nighttime fun on the Mountain (don’t forget your headlamp or flashlight). Get active, have some fun in the snow and support Camp Colton!

I’m sure you’re wondering how you’ll make your way up the mountain�"so here are a few options:
Traction: Snowshoes, Mircospikes, Crampons, or any sort of foot traction maybe used*.
Skinning: Ski with skins to go up mountain…then peel 'em off to ski down.  
*Kahtoola will have demos available (on a first come first come basis) of our TSsnowshoes and Microspikes.

In case you’re still not convinced that you should come out for the Agassiz Uphill�"as an added incentive, we’ll give away awards…including the Best Dressed (costumes optional, but encouraged) and a Spirit Award for the participant having the most fun! And speaking of fun…Once crossing the finish line, you are invited to have a beverage on the deck, listen to the music of Dave McGraw and Crow Wing (www.davemcgraw.net) and enjoy the best raffle of the winter (each racer will receive a raffle ticket with entry and additional tickets can be purchased for $5 each or five for $20). 100% of raffle proceeds will support Camp Colton.
