In the 1st Annual Kahtoola Agassiz Uphill participants "ran" up 2000 vertical feet and enjoyed a scenic ride down on the Arizona Snowbowl ski lift. There was a 1k race for children so everyone in the family had a reason to come out. Racers had an option of wearing any snow traction system (snowshoe, crampon, MICROspikes, etc.) they chose, but all racers needed some kind of traction to be eligible. 2008 registration form here.
