The Kahtoola Traction System (KTS) is a flexible crampon system that gives grip on ice and snow and flex to accommodate running, walking and hiking footwear. Kahtoola is partnering with Seattle Manufacturing Corporation (SMC) for manufacturing and distribution. Improvements have been made to this product, specifically in the strap tension area over the front of the shoe, which has been replaced by a single tension-lock buckle that's easier to use with gloved hands. The hard plastic strap keepers have also been replaced with a low-temperature silicon rubber ring that allows for more layers of webbing and is also easier to use with gloved hands.
