Best of What’s Next: Outdoor Retailer Winter Market 2001
Some other things I liked: A small company called Kahtoola® was showing its one product: A short-toothed crampon that can be used with anything from boots to running shoes. Light (20 ounces for a pair), and flexible thanks to a stainless steel strap that connects the front points to those in back, these seem like an ideal device for hikers and climbers who don’t want to lug full crampons but who might need better grip than is offered by most “lite” crampons I’ve seen. Price: [$139]
